When we asked for haiku on the topic of snowflakes, we never expected the blizzard of high-quality verse that drifted into the e-mail box and the haiku website. We were partial to many, so in the interest of not playing favorites among our Colorado writers, we picked Ron Sidener of Leawood, Kan., as the winner of The Denver Post $25 Haiku Contest this week:
