INDIANAPOLIS — This might be the end of two eras in the Circle City.
The notoriously loud RCA Dome is being replaced by a new, retractable- roof stadium next season, and Colts coach Tony Dungy is seriously considering retirement.
Dungy’s son Eric has enrolled in high school in the Tampa Bay area, where the family owns a home. After the Colts were upset 28-24 by San Diego on Sunday, ending their reign as Super Bowl champions, Dungy said he will take some time to mull his future.
“We will analyze it as the coming week goes on,” said Dungy, who said the loss will not affect his decision. “I will sit down with my wife and with (Colts ownership), and we will come to a conclusion.”
