JACKSON, Wyo.—Three local men caught in an avalanche while snowmobiling in the Star Valley south of Jackson have been found dead.
The Star Valley Search and Rescue team found the three men in the Cottonwood Lake area Saturday.
The Lincoln County sheriff’s office hasn’t released the men’s names.
A dispatcher at the sheriff’s office who didn’t give her name said Sunday that she didn’t know when the avalanche occurred. No further details were available.
