Wearing a powder-blue shirt, Karl was asked if his shirt was Nuggets blue or Carolina blue.
“It’s always Carolina when you’re in Carolina,” Karl said.
It was a fun day for Karl, who went to the 1972 Final Four with North Carolina. He sat down with author Scott Fowler, who is writing a book about great games in North Carolina history. Then, at Charlotte Bobcats Arena, Karl reunited with fellow alum Buzz Peterson, who played on the 1982 championship team.
