CARACAS, Venezuela — A body found along the Venezuelan coast was identified as the co-pilot of a plane that crashed into the sea earlier this month, but the other 13 people on board remain missing, including eight Italians and a Swiss citizen.
The body found Sunday was identified as co-pilot Osmel Avila, officials said. The twin-engine plane went down during a Jan. 4 flight from Caracas to Venezuela’s Los Roques Islands.
