Frigid temperatures blew through Colorado Wednesday and as much as 6 inches of snow fell in Pueblo.
Morning temperatures stood at 13 in Colorado Springs and 16 in Denver, but no records were broken, said James Hall, a spokesman for the National Weather Service in Pueblo.
In Beulah, southwest of Pueblo, 6 inches of snow fell by about 9 a.m. Other areas around Pueblo reported up to 3 1-2 inches, and snow was expected to continue into the evening.
“There are still some snow showers over the mountains,” he said. “Because the snow is light and fluffy, there will be some areas where you will get some blowing and drifting snow.”
