An investigation into a Weld County sheriff’s deputy charged with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl has turned up felony charges against another deputy, authorities said today.

Deputy Joshua Ramaker, 31, of Evans has been placed on leave without pay after detectives determined that he allowed the girl to drink liquor at his home prior her having sex with deputy Landon Greatheart, authorities allege.

He was issued a summons for a felony charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor today, Undersheriff Margie Martinez said.

Greatheart, 32, faces sexual assault charges and also is on leave without pay. And the victim in this case recently learned she was pregnant, Martinez said.

Greatheart and two women living with him were acting as guardians for the victim in July, Martinez said. The girl has since returned to live with her mother.

Detectives found evidence that Greatheart sent obscene photographs of himself with his phone, Martinez said.

The Weld County District Attorney’s Office will decide whether to file formal charges, she said.

Greatheart has been employed by the sheriff’s office since July 2003. He could be charged with sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and an obscenity charge.
