Stock show visitors can help “Can Hunger” by bringing a nonperishable food item to the National Western Stock Show. The FFA Organization, formerly known as Future Farmers of America, is trying to collect 1 million items. The Colorado collection supports the Food Bank of the Rockies. Collection will take place at the Toyota booth in the stock show’s Hall of Education, near the entrance.
Colorado FFA Alumni, listed among the top 10 most-active state FFA alumni groups in the country, joined the campaign in October. The drive lasts through March 15 . Colorado FFA has more than 4,200 members in 96 chapters across the state. Nationally, FFA includes 500,823 students in 7,358 local chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
