A fire in a vacant home in Greeley this morning may have been caused by vagrants cooking or trying to stay warm, officials said.

Firefighters from Union Colony Fire Rescue responded to the blaze on 14th Avenue at about 7:30 this morning.

They saw heavy smoke, dragged hoses inside and the fire was quickly put out.

Officials estimate damage at $25,000.
