LOUISVILLE — Three people are dead after an early-morning crash in Louisville.

Police say a Subaru went out of control at about 2:30 a.m. today and struck a light pole at McCaslin Boulevard and West Cherry Street.

The impact of the crash ripped the car into at least three pieces and killed the three people who were inside.

Louisville police and the Colorado State Patrol estimate the car was traveling between 101 and 109 mph at the time of the crash.

There was no immediate word on the identities of the victims.
