Colorado’s unemployment rate rose four-tenths of a percentage point to 4.5 percent in December as the weakening national economy hit the state’s workforce.
Labor officials said Friday the unemployment rate has jumped eight-tenths of a percentage point in the past two months. That’s the largest two-month increase in about six years. Construction and financial activities lost jobs last month. The biggest job gains were in professional and business services, trade, transportation and utilities, and leisure and hospitality.
