
Monica Bellaire is a senior at Bishop Machebeuf High School in Denver.
She is taking Advanced Placement calculus and is in the National Honor Society.
Monica has participated in Leaders Challenge, a nonprofit youth program that provides leadership training to high school students. Her team won the top challenge, raising more than $6,000 for Dirty Vagabond Ministries, which helps inner-city children by giving them a safe place to be after school.
Monica enjoys reading, music and writing poetry.
Monica plans to attend Colorado College or the University of Denver to pursue a degree in biology and psychology. After college, Monica plans to go to medical school to prepare for a career in pediatrics or neurosurgery.
