A 33-year-old Kansas man who was pronounced dead after a snowboard accident at the Breckenridge ski resort Sunday was identified as James Mclean, a podiatrist from Leawood, Kan.
The Summit County coroner said the cause of death was a fractured neck.
The accident happened at about 1:51 p.m. Sunday in the Park Lane Terrain Park on the intermediate run. “He hit a jump,” said Breckenridge spokeswoman Nickie DeFord.
DeFord said the snowboarder was wearing a helmet.
