Ingredients
4 egg whites at room temperature
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
Pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup superfine sugar
Directions
In a large bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar on medium speed until foamy. Add salt, vanilla and sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating after each addition until blended (sugar is dissolved). Continue beating until mixture stands softly on its own in creamy peaks.
