BRECKENRIDGE, COLO. — A 33-year-old snowboarder who was killed in an accident at Breckenridge Ski Resort has been identified as James McLean, a podiatrist from Leawood, Kan.
Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson says McLean died of a fractured neck when landed on his head after going airborne at the ski area’s terrain park on Sunday.
Richardson says McLean was wearing a helmet.
