Aurora — A former Aurora city employee was sentenced to 29 years in prison today after he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy.
Jermaine Vaden’s sentence will be followed by 20 years of sex offender intensive probation, said 18th Judicial District Court spokeswoman Kathleen Walsh said in a press release.
Vaden was hired in May 2007 as a seasonal worker for the Aurora city parks department. He was working at the city-sponsored KidSpree event on July 16 when he met the boy that he is accused of sexually assaulting.
