A bill that would allow season-ticket holders for the Denver Broncos and other sports teams to sell their tickets for a profit made it out of a Senate committee Wednesday.

After the committee’s 4-1 vote in favor of the bill, Broncos officials said the team plans to send out letters to fans to whip up opposition.

“It sounds like they’re against ticket scalping but they’re for certain people selling their tickets for a profit,” said Joe Ellis of the Broncos. “We’re trying to figure out the difference.”
