Commerce City authorities have determined that there was no basis for the report of an attempted kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl near a convenience store this morning.
Commerce City police said the inaccurate report stemmed from “perceptions and assumptions” on the part of the girl, rather than any malicious intent.
