“Tulo kudos” to the Rockies for the record long-term contract signing of Troy Tulowitzki. Tulo is the heart and soul of the team. In following the baseball adage of being strong up the middle, the Rockies are now solid at the critical shortstop position. Speaking of shortstops, Tulo’s rookie year was the best of any shortstop in National League history!

Patience now needed
I see where Mike Shanahan says he will rebuild the Broncos through the draft. How long do you think that will take?
I hope all you Broncos fans are patient. Shanahan has one good draft about every five years. At that rate he should have a respectable team in 20 years. Maybe Shanahan should call John Ralston to help with the draft, someone who can evaluate talent. You know he won’t because he’s a mastermind and masterminds don’t need any help.
