A 22-year-old Denver resident was killed in Aurora Saturday when a 71-year-old man driving a pickup ran a red light on South Parker Road, then veered into a crosswalk.
Driving north, the pickup driver, Richard Elliot of Elizabeth, swerved to the right, striking the pedestrian, then three other vehicles stopped at the intersection near South Peoria Street.
The name of the victim, who died at nearby hospital a half hour later, is not being released pending notification of kin. Elliot sustained minor injuries. Possible charges are pending.
Earlier, a head-on collision on an icy Colorado 141 on Friday near Montrose resulted in two deaths.
Details are not being released by the Colorado State Patrol.
One of the victims has yet to be identified and family members of the other victim have yet to be notified.
