Air Force’s hockey team was swept for the first time this season Sunday, losing to Army 2-1 for the second time in three days.

The teams went into the final period scoreless at West Point, N.Y., and the Falcons took the lead on a Jeff Hajner power-play goal 34 seconds into the third period. Army tied the game several minutes later and took the lead with 1:47 left in the game.

Air Force started the weekend five points ahead of Army in the Atlantic Hockey Association and had an opportunity to take the conference lead with two wins. But two Army victories has Air Force ahead of Army by just one point and Air Force still tied with Sacred Heart in second place behind Rochester Tech.

Rage tumbles against SteelHounds.

The Rocky Mountain Rage lost the rubber match of a three-game weekend series against the Youngstown SteelHounds 5-1 in a Central Hockey League game.

The Rage dominated the SteelHounds on Saturday, winning 7-1 with seven players scoring goals, but its offense could not get anything going Sunday, and both goalies struggled in split action.
