MIAMI — Kelly Liljeblad of Boulder held on to win the women’s race in the Miami Marathon on Sunday, while Jose Garcia captured the men’s title.
Liljeblad won in 2 hours, 47 minutes, 13 seconds, beating Nadezhda Tuptova, who had a time of 2:48:09.
Garcia finished in 2:17:43 seconds. He beat Samuel Kiprotich, who finished in 2:18:14.
Brian Sell of Rochester Hills, Mich., set a course record in the half marathon, finishing in 1:03:46. Colombian runner Yolanda Fernandez set a course record in the women’s half marathon in 1:16:01.
