The Colorado Eagles got two goals in the third period but could not complete a comeback Tuesday night against the Tulsa Oilers, losing 5-4 in a Central Hockey League game.

The Oilers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period. The Eagles’ Les Borsheim cut the margin to one on a power-play goal in the second.

But the Oilers scored twice more in the period, and Eagles goals by Steve Haddon and Brett Thurston in the third period weren’t enough.

Crush adds two.

The Colorado Crush signed defensive back Eric Hill, a former Colorado State player, to the training camp roster.

Hill played wide receiver at CSU and caught 33 passes for 555 yards. Hill spent three seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, who moved him to the secondary, and the 2007 training camp with the Broncos.

The Crush signed another defensive back, Chazman Williams of Louisiana-Monroe, who is an Arena Football League rookie.

DeVree, Tharp in Texas all-star game.

University of Colorado tight end Tyson DeVree and former Fairview High School and Boise State quarterback Taylor Tharp will play in the second annual Texas vs. the Nation Collegiate All-Star Bowl on Saturday in El Paso.

DeVree, a transfer from Western Michigan, will play for the Nation team, as will Tharp, a son of former CU athletic director Dick Tharp.
