GRAND JUNCTION — An American Airlines 757 jet aircraft with 110 passengers was forced to land in Grand Junction Wednesday night after the cockpit filled with smoke.
The flight was en route from Newark, N.J., to Los Angeles when trouble developed about 10 p.m.
The aircraft, with some 17,000 pounds of fuel on board, landed safely with no injuries reported.
