FRISCO, Colo.—Low visibility and falling snow Wednesday kept searchers from looking for the body of a snowmobiler who died in the mountains west of Denver.
John McKibben of Kremmling was one of three snowmobilers who became lost during a planned one-day trip Sunday.
Craig Morris of Florida, and Murry Melloni of Littleton were rescued Tuesday night after authorities received text messages from them earlier in the day. The men said McKibben died Monday night.
Officials in Summit and Eagle counties said the weather kept searchers from looking for McKibben’s body Wednesday. The Eagle County sheriff’s office was handling the search mission near Mahan Lake.
Morris and Melloni had frostbite but were listed in good condition Wednesday at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs.
