The winter storm warning and near whiteout conditions that have caused hundreds of flights today to be canceled at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport has had virtually no impact at Denver International Airport.

United Airlines spokesman Jeff Kovick said that two flights from have been affected because of the winter storm. One flight from Denver to Chicago was canceled, he said. A second, from Denver to Orange County, was canceled because of the inability of the aircraft to get to Denver, said Kovick.

Chuck Cannon, DIA spokesman, said he wasn’t aware of any delays to passengers at DIA because of the midwestern storm.

However, Kovick asked all people flying to Chicago and East Coast cities to check their airline schedules which could potentially be disrupted as the storm heads east.

“We do encourage customers to check flights before going to the airport,” Kovick said.

United has posted a “Travel Advisory-Waiver” on its website pertaining to United customers flying today to, from or through Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Indiana, Michigan and Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa, Canada.

Customers with cancelled flights are eligible for a full refund.
