GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A 19-year-old murder suspect has waived extradition to Arizona after being arrested in Grand Junction.

John Neal appeared in a Mesa County courtroom Thursday, two days after his arrest at the home of a friend’s parents.

Neal was wanted on a warrant out of Mohave County, Arizona. He’s accused of shooting a man with a .22-caliber handgun December 4th in Kingman.

Authorities arrested Neal without incident.

He’s expected to be transported back to Arizona within the next 10 days.
