Only a lack of man-made power kept Boulder from defeating Eaglecrest a day earlier.

In Centennial, Mitchell Fraser led four Boulder players in double-figure scoring Saturday as the Panthers downed host Eaglecrest 66-62 in the Class 5A Centennial League.

The game originally was scheduled for Friday, but a power outage during the junior varsity game postponed it to Saturday.

David Bremner (12 points) and University of Colorado football-bound Will Pericak and Kelly White (10 each) also paced the Panthers (16-3 overall, 7-3 league). Josh Turner (26) and Gage Wooten (20) led Eaglecrest (15-4, 7-3).

Kent Denver 68, Lutheran 60, OT.

Holt Dunlap’s basket at the buzzer in regulation — from a step inside halfcourt — propelled the Sun Devils to overtime, then they defeated the Lights in the 3A Metropolitan League.

Kent Denver (11-5, 4-2) was led in scoring by Ben Stewart, who had a game-high 24 points. Max Holz added 16 and Dunlap scored 13.

For Lutheran (13-3, 3-3), which began the season 8-0, David Beach and Terrance Brockman each scored a dozen points.

Faith Christian 84, Colorado Academy 55.

In Arvada, the Eagles won their seventh consecutive game with a drubbing of the Mustangs in the 3A Metropolitan as Chase Grabau erupted for 32 points. Jobi Wall added 24 for Faith Christian (15-1, 6-0). David Jones scores 18 and Phil Jones had 11 for Colorado Academy (7-7, 0-5).

Gatorade soccer player of the year.
