ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—The Denver Broncos have signed wide receiver Derrick Hamilton and released linebacker Warrick Holdman.
Holdman, a ninth-year pro who joined the Broncos as a free agent in 2007, never played for the Broncos after suffering a spinal cord injury during training camp on Aug. 2.
Hamilton is a 6-foot-4, 207-pound third-year pro who spent time on the practice squads in Houston and Tampa Bay last season. He was a third-round pick by San Francisco out of Clemson in 2004. He played in two games as a rookie before missing the 2005 season with a knee injury. He was out of football in 2006.
The moves were announced Monday.
