Boulder fire investigators are looking for a man who witnessed a vehicle fire that killed a man early Saturday morning.
The name of the victim of the 5:40 a.m. blaze in the 2700 block of Glenwood Drive has not yet been released, according to Sarah Huntley, a spokeswoman for the Boulder Police Department.
Police would like to talk to the witness about what he saw and any other information he would have about the fire, Huntley said.
The fire occurred inside a parked van. While firefighters were attacking the blaze, they found a man in the back of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Huntley said.
There was evidence that the man lived in the van, she said.
The witness is described as a white male in his mid 30s or 40s. He is slender, between 6-foot and 6-foot-2. He was wearing a long-sleeved dark shirt and dark pants. He was described as having large facial pores and shoulder-length dark hair.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Boulder County Coroner’s Office is awaiting more test results before deciding the cause and manner of the male occupant’s death.
