Frontier Airlines plans to announce Thursday eight new cities that it will begin flying to, as well as how it will use additional regional aircraft and adjust its route network.

Among the routes Frontier is expected to begin are to Aspen and Colorado Springs, while chief executive Sean Menke also has named Vail and Grand Junction as airports the company’s turboprop subsidiary Lynx Aviation is set to serve.

Gov. Bill Ritter is expected to speak at the press conference.

Frontier employees also will hand out freebies in downtown Denver on Thursday.
