DENVER—Frontier Airlines Holdings is planning to announce eight new destinations as it adjusts its schedule and expands turboprop service.
The airline will unveil plans Thursday about three weeks after reporting its fiscal third-quarter loss more than doubled because of high fuel costs and Lynx-related expenses.
Frontier laid off 100 employees last year and completed an extensive review of its flight schedule to look for savings. It also plans to put four jets up for sale.
One of the new destinations is expected to be Colorado Springs where the Denver-based carrier is building a maintenance hangar. Another potential candidate is Aspen which is among the cities Frontier has identified for the Lynx Aviation regional operation.
