COLORADO SPRINGS — A mother accused of starting a fire in her home that killed her daughter and injured four other children was charged Wednesday with 19 crimes.
Charges for Maria Gardner Joseph, 25, included three counts of murder, first-degree arson, child abuse and attempted murder for the Jan. 28 fire that killed Ashia M. Joseph, 16 months, and injured four other children.
