PUEBLO, Colo.—A Pueblo man now faces felony child abuse charges after he allegedly burned his young son with a cigarette.

Police say 29-year-old Tory Joseph Edwards is accused of burning the 1-year-old boy on his left hand and his buttocks last month.

Edwards is also accused of false imprisonment and domestic violence.

Pueblo police Officer Carl Groller says in an arrest affidavit that the boy was burned January 18th and 19th, soon after Edwards yelled at his 25-year-old common-law wife about where she had been.

At one point, he allegedly barred her from leaving their home because he feared she would call police about the burns.

Edwards is free on $5,000 bail.

He has no listed phone number.
