Arvada police believe that one man has exposed himself to women in eight incidents at area businesses since the beginning of the year.

The man masturbates in front of female clientele or employees but never enters the businesses. Instead, he accosts the women as they enter or leave the building.

“In most situations, he mills about the business for up to one-half hour prior to exposing himself to victims,” Arvada police spokeswoman Susan Medina said in a release.

The suspect is between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-9, 20 to 30 years old, white or Latino, and has a thin to medium build.

He has been seen with a 1990s light-colored, four-door compact sedan.

These are the exposure locations:

  •  Jan. 2, 9:35 p.m., Domino’s Pizza, 5100 block of 64th Avenue.
  •  Jan. 15, 9 p.m., Artistic Beauty College, 6500 block of Wadsworth Boulevard.
  •  Feb. 6, 6:55 p.m., Apple II Day Spa, 7200 block of West 52 Avenue.
  •  Feb. 6, 7:08 p.m., Hair Tease, 6600 block of Wadsworth Boulevard.
  •  Feb. 7, 7:05 p.m., College of International Esthetics, 7300 block of West 52 Avenue.
  •  Feb. 8, 6:15 p.m., Family Dollar, 6500 block of Wadsworth Boulevard.
  •  Feb. 9, 4:29 p.m., Tranquility Spa, 7800 block of Wadsworth Boulevard.
  •  Feb. 13, 7:40 p.m., Tranquility Spa.

Police are contacting area businesses and registered sex offenders in the city. Officers are working with other law-enforcement agencies to determine whether there are similar incidents in neighboring jurisdictions.
