La.-Monroe 53, Denver 48

  • MONROE, LA. – Tony Hooper had 23 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead Louisiana-Monroe over Denver on Saturday night.

    The lead changed four times, with four ties, before ULM went on a 10-2 run in the final seven minutes of the first half to take a 27-21 halftime lead.

    DU freshman Rob Lewis scored eight straight points to start a 15-0 run that put the Pioneers ahead 38-33 with just over eight minutes left.

    But Hooper had eight points in ULM’s 13-1 response.

    Lewis led Denver with 21 points and nine rebounds and Nate Rohnert added 13 points.

    Nebraska-Kearney 75, Colorado Christian 68

  • LAKEWOOD – Jeremy Cruise scored a team-high 19 points to lead five players with 10 or more points for Kearney. Brian Stamer had game highs with 26 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Cougars.

    Metro State 66, Chadron State 56

  • Metro State erased an eight-point second-half deficit, rallying to defeat visiting Chadron (Neb.) State at the Auraria Events Center. Jesse Wagstaff led the Roadrunners with 20 points.

    Fort Lewis 94, CSU-Pueblo 60

  • DURANGO – Ranked No. 25 in Division II, Fort Lewis earned at least a share of the RMAC regular-season title after routing CSU-Pueblo.
