Boulder — Two women driving in the 1100 block of Spruce Street this morning were stopped by a man Boulder police say was a police impersonator.

At about 3 a.m.the women told police they were stopped by a man driving a white,Ford Crown Victoria with flashing blue lights.

The man was described as a white male who was not wearing a police uniform.

The man asked one of the women to step out of the car then proceeded to have her perform a series of sobriety tests, said Boulder police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley.

Boulder police are asking if anyone has seen the man or has any information to call Boulder County Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477(TIPS).
