The Colorado State men’s golf team finished sixth out of 14 schools Monday in the three-round GADO North Texas Classic in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The Rams were led by sophomore Bryce Hanstad, who finished in a tie for 10th place at 1-under-par 215.

Dustin Morris was the only other Ram to finish in the top 20. Morris tied for 18th at 4-over 220.

Bears swept in softball twinbill.

The Northern Colorado softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader to Loyola Marymount, 8-1 and 10-1. The Bears fell to 2-9 this season.

DU lacrosse’s Morton honored.

University of Denver junior midfielder Karen Morton was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation’s co-player of the week for the third time in her career. Morton had a hat trick in each of the DU lacrosse team’s games over the weekend, losses to Duke and North Carolina.

Colorado Christian’s Stamer wins hoops award.

Colorado Christian’s Brian Stamer won his second straight RMAC player of the week award, and fifth this season. Stamer averaged 22.5 points, 12 rebounds and 5.5 blocked shots in two Cougars victories.
