Motorists spotted a floating body in Bear Creek at West Hampden Avenue and South Sheridan Boulevard today.
Denver Fire Department crews pulled the decomposed body of a man out a short time later about 4 p.m., said spokesman Lt. Phil Champagne. He had no identification.
“It appeared he had been in the river some time,” Champagne said, adding that homeless people sometime reside behind the river’s overpasses and a homeless people’s camp was set up nearby.
