GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A 21-year-old Grand Junction man is being charged with vehicular homicide in a collision that killed a Whitewater woman.

Prosecutors filed charges Tuesday against Trae Frigetto, including two counts of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, DUI with an excessive blood-alcohol level, driving under revocation, and hit-and run causing death.

Authorities say Frigetto was behind the wheel of a van that rammed the back of a pickup on February 1st.

The crash killed 54-year-old Michelle LeFever.

Court records show Frigetto had a blood-alcohol level of 0.47 — almost six times the legal limit in Colorado.

Frigetto has told police he bought alcohol at least twice on the day of the crash, but he has denied driving the van.

He’s due back in court March 5th.
