Classes have been canceled today at Sierra Middle School in Parker because of a power outage, the district said in a news release.
The kitchen of the school at 6651 Pine Lane Ave. has no electricity, and the outage has also affected water and phone service.
Schoolchildren are being taken home on district buses.
Douglas County School District spokeswoman Whei Wong said in the release that the school will remain closed all day today.
