United Airlines had a slight increase in staffing levels in December compared with the previous year, while Frontier Airlines increased its staffing level 15 percent in the same period, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics.
United had about 52,400 full-time-equivalent employees in December, up from about 52,300 a year earlier. Frontier had 5,216 full-time- equivalent employees in December, up from 4,522 a year earlier.
