WASHINGTON — The three Republican members of the Federal Communications Commission have voted to approve the transaction transferring control of DirecTV Group Inc. from News Corp. to Douglas County-based Liberty Media Corp., Dow Jones reported Thursday.

According to an agency official, Democratic members Michael Copps and Jonathan Adelstein have not voted to approve the deal. This means that even though the transaction has majority approval from the commission, it cannot proceed until all five commissioners vote for it.
