DENVER—Areas around Vail could see as much as 10 inches of news snow as a winter storm moves into Colorado today.
The National Weather Service has issued a snow advisory for the high country and the southwestern mountains.
The weather service says 1 to 3 inches will fall in west of Vail pass overnight. Another 3 to 7 inches are possible through the day. The southwest mountain near Durango could see up to 8 inches by tonight.
Denver is under a hazardous weather outlook with a 10 percent chance of snow predicted for Saturday.
