WASHINGTON — The new Change to Win labor federation gave its first presidential endorsement to Sen. Barack Obama on Thursday, saying its 6 million members could help push him over the top and into the general election as the Democratic nominee.
The seven unions that make up the federation are the Teamsters, the Laborers’ International Union of North America, Service Employees International Union, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, United Farm Workers of America, United Food and Commercial Workers International Union and Unite Here.
