WESTMINSTER — A 2-year- old girl riding a tiny push scooter in the street was backed over by a family friend’s small SUV Thursday afternoon.
The girl was at her great aunt’s house when the friend backed into the street in the 7700 block of Knox Court without seeing the toddler behind him, said Westminster police Investigator Stephanie Topkoff.
The child was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Aurora and was hurt “very badly,” Topkoff said.
