Firefighters responding to a house fire Friday night discovered a man’s body.
Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters with the Clifton Fire Protection District responded to a call around 9:30 p.m. to a home on fire at 3232 D ¼ Road.
Firefighters fought the blaze for about 30 minutes before discovering the body.
The cause of the fire was unknown, but investigators think it may have been arson.
The victim’s identification was not released today, but according to public records, the home is owned by Earnest R. Brown.
