DENVER—Legendary baseball pitcher Lefty Gomez once attributed his success to clean living and a fast-moving outfield.

Well, the three newest members of the Colorado Rockies outfield can’t move at all.

They are dummy coyotes.

KUSA says they were installed to scare off the geese munching on new sod at Coors Field.

It is a technique that has been used by state troopers around the nation—putting cardboard fake police cars in spots where drivers won’t initially be able to tell they are fakes and thus will slow down.
