DENVER—A memorial service for Denver Broncos co-founder Bob Howsam is planned in Arizona.
The service will be held March 1 in Sun City. Howsam died Tuesday in Sun City at the age of 89.
Howsam co-founded the Broncos in 1959 and joined the Cincinnati Reds in 1967. He is credited with helping to build the Big Red Machine.
Howsam also was general manager of the St. Louis Cardinals when they won the 1964 World Series.
