Police arrested five people in connection to a shooting early Saturday morning in which three people were wounded by bullets and a fourth man was beaten, authorities say.

The four injured persons were taken to a local hospital, but their conditions were not available, said Shannon Lucy, spokeswoman for the Aurora Police Department.

Several people were in a parking lot of the Real De Minas Mexican Grill at East Colfax Avenue and Kingston Street at 3:15 a.m. when a large fight broke out, Lucy said.

Five men climbed into a car and as it left the restaurant parking lot, someone inside the car began shooting, she said. The car sped off.

A police officer spotted a car matching the description of the fleeing vehicle and pulled it over at East 12th Avenue and Alton Street, Lucy said.

All five men who were inside the car were arrested, she said. It is believed that one of them was the shooter.

Homicide and major crime detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting.

The names of the victims and suspects have not been released.
